Beyond Fustrated

Everyday is a series of temper tantrums, backtalking and not listening. I'm so stressed out by the time her bedtime rolls around that my head is pounding and I can't think straight. Reagan has a very dominant personality. She's super intelligent and is EXTREMELY independent.

My parenting skills are pretty worthless at the moment and everyday I find myself glowering at her instead of smiling and having fun. I'm REALLY struggling with three.

  1. My Kate is the same way. There are some days I look at her and think, "If you weren't mine, I'd tell your mother I couldn't watch you anymore!" Obviously not an option.

By the end of the day, it's such a relief to not have to listen to her voice anymore.

People tell me her independence will be an asset to her in the future. Maybe meaning she'll move out at 18? :-)

    Hang in there!

  2. The threes have been rough around here, too (especially the first six months). Add my almost two year old rough and tumble boy and some days I want to pull my hair out!

Hang on, Momma, you'll make it through! (although not unscathed)

  3. I don't have kids so I don't have any mom advice, but I do want to encourage you. You're doing good things, try not to get caught up in negativity. You'll get it all sorted out. And I'm so sorry to hear about your family's loss. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time - both with family, and at home.
