Menu Plan Monday

I'm taking a cue from several of you wonderful people whom I've been spying on (via your blogs), and am participating in Menu Plan Monday! Hopefully most of these dishes I can make low in fat and high in veggies, whole grains and proteins...which will fit in perfectly with my Weight Watchers plan! Enjoy!

Monday-BBQ Beef Bowl and a green side veggie (courtesy of Kraft Magazine Holiday 2007 edition)

Tuesday-Tomato and Spinach Pasta Toss (courtesy of Kraft Magazine Winter 2007 edition)

Wednesday-leftovers or chicken salad sandwiches and soup

Thursday-Salmon patties, veggies, whole wheat rolls

Friday-Taco Bake and a side veggie (courtesy of Kraft Magazine Winter 2007 edition)

Saturday-leftovers or the old standby-soup and sandwich

Sunday-Roast with potatoes and veggies

Can you tell Wednesday and Saturday are my days in the office??

  5. Sounds like a yummy week. The tomato and spinach pasta toss sounds great to me, but it wouldn't fly in my house (Matt hates spinach).

    Sorry I didn't answer your question about menu planning last week...I start with what we want to eat and plan from there; if we were on a tighter budget I would probably focus more on the items on sale that week, but for now this works for us. Good for you jumping in and making a go of it! I have found that menu planning really helps when I'm grocery shopping because I have a more thorough list, and it helps on those nights when nothing really sounds good because I can fall back to whatever is on the menu (or at least that's what happens in theory).
