Can It Really Be Done?

I've been reading these incredible blog entries by women getting $380 worth of groceries for something like $20! And spending only $50 a week for a family of four!! Can it really be done? I'm determined to find out.

For the month of February, I'm going to keep a running list of all the money we spend on groceries and other items too, such as gas, utilities and clothing. My goal is to get them as low as we possibly can and see how much money I can save.

Wish me luck!

  1. Good luck! I've been trying to do the coupon/stockpiling thing with groceries, but we eat sort of weird, so it's been kind of tough. I'm trying to lower our grocery bill, though!

  2. Yes, it's definitely possible! I do it. It takes diligence and a lot of planning but it is well worth it. It is amazing to walk away with $300 worth of groceries for $50. Just today, I bought $275 worth of groceries for $95. Not one of my greatest trips, but I bought a ton of meat and produce so it wasn't too bad.

Good luck & have lots of fun! =)
